Therapist Website Design Project

Client: Coastal Narrative – Therapist, Counselling and Coaching

Project Overview: Design a new website for a therapist starting a new practice in North Vancouver. The new website needed to provide a modern look that represents the client, and integrates the online therapist application that they use, create a blog and create a new newsletter mailing list to collect emails. Van Island Web also created and directed an online advertising campaign for the client through Meta ads and Google Ads.

The Project Ask

This client based out of North Vancouver contacted Van Island Web to help them get their business started with a new website. The client needed help with hosting, domain management, architecture design and more. The client also requested online ad campaign services to be able to showcase their new website and business.

The Process

Following a review of the current content that the client had written as well as some design collateral that was available (photos), Van Island Web was able to put together a mock-up that aligned with the clients colour scheme and business identity. As part of the design process, it was determined that a custom email address would be required as part of the project.

Upon first contact by the client, Van Island Web was able to provide a variety of options that could meet the clients needs at varying costs. Upon further discussion with the client, an approach was agreed upon and a quote and proposal was created and sent to the client.
After sign-off of the scope and budget, the project moved ahead with an architecture design and visual mock-up of what the proposed website would look like, with feedback gathered and questions answered.
Upon sign-off of the mock-up by the client, Van Island Web began development of the website in the staging environment, meeting the requirements of the design and building out the infrastructure of the website..
After completion of the website development, the client reviewed the site for minor changes, and the site was signed off on and ready to launch.
The client website was launched and appropriate sitemaps submitted to Google to ensure proper indexing.
An advertising campaign was then designed by Van Island Web to begin outreach for the client's new business and start to gather new clients. A multi stream campaign, including Meta and Google Ads, was created with appropriate assets and launched according to the client budget.
